Nail Art Super Order!

I bought myself a present. I went to Bundle Monster and got the 25 piece stamping plates. A couple of them are going to be dupes for what I already have but a lot of it is new! It seems that I am on a nail stamping kick again. I get addicted to this stuff...but hey! You get to benefit. I promise I won't show you all the real janky manicures I do...like the one I have on right now...it's just awful.

I also went to Head2Toe and ordered some new polishes that I can use for stamping...and a couple that were just awesome. I know I've talked about this site before...but for any newbies, this is where I get all of my nail polish. They ship fast and everything is pretty cheap. $3 for China Glaze, Misa and Color Club...my favorite brands of polish. Orly is just $6. The Essie polishes are still $8 but there is really nothing they can do about that...it's expensive polish.

I will post an update when I get my packages. It's the first time I've ordered something to be sent to the new address so we'll see how it goes.

Why is beauty still in question?

Good morning everyone! I have a bit of a question for you all today. Sure this question is overdone...but I read an interesting blog post by Paul Overton at EveryDayIsAwesome (click the link and read it...go ahead, I'll wait...ok, you're back? Good...let's continue...).

Now I am sure that part of my curiosity about the subject comes from a girl who's gone to being extremely heavy (my highest was around 320lbs) to being, at least what I consider thin...around 170. I definitely feel better than I ever have in my life. That's the important part, but looking at her photo...and reading that girl's label of "plus size" (she is definitely smaller than I am)...got me thinking. At what point does a female get out from under that umbrella? When your ribs are visible? When you can accidentally bump your spleen against someone?

The other thing I found interesting about that post were the statistics! 100% of the people that thought she was "fat" were women! How the hell does that make you feel girls?? What does that say about you?? Now, I love a fashion magazine as much as I like my food so I'm not going to blame them for giving people a bad self image. I've been reading them since I was little...but I never hated how I looked. How you feel about yourself is something that you need to own and not blame everyone else.

So here comes the question portion. Honestly...and I mean that...be super honest with yourself...how do you feel about that woman in the picture? Do you think she's beautiful? Does it bother you to look at her stomach pouch? Post some comments...I would like to hear what you think.

Good Morning Konad!

Hey guys! I have a little nail post for you today! There was a bit of time when I wasn't doing anything with my nails...but I've gotten back into it recently. Today I decided I was going to mess about with some of my Konading stuff...you will have to excuse the horrible execution. It looks cute...but if you look close...it's pretty messy.

Cleanup? What's that??

Anyhow, here's what I used:

China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
Sinful Colors Soul Mate (bottle shown)
Konad Special Polish Black with plate m57
China Glaze Millennium with plate m66
Nubar Diamont Top Coat (I find, with the Konad polishes at least, that this one streaks the least.)

Let me know what you think!

A Little Zombify

Good morning my lovelies! Long time no see! I have been away for so long and I missed doing this! But now, I have a new computer...no more borrowed machines. Hooray for tax time, amirite??

So...before we get to the goody goody portion of this post, I have a very important question for you all. My new shiny computer came with a built in webcam. I got one with this feature specifically to film makeup tutorials. Now, I have no idea how good at this I will be...but if there is enough interest amongst my friends and wonderful blog readers, I am willing to try it out. So, please leave a comment below telling me what you think. I'm not sure how I will be running it...perhaps putting up pictures like I usually do and having you all comment on which looks you would like to see in a video, that kind of thing. Let me know if you have any ideas in that vein as well.

I have here for your consideration a little look I did yesterday using some Zombify and MTCoffinz products. As always, their links are just a little click on their names away.

Loosely Titled...Shark Skin

For some reason, this combination of purples and blues made me think of sharks...I have a small obsession with them, as well as other dwellers of the deep. (Jellyfish...duh...). Actually, this isn't what I had planned to do at all when I got my makeup out...this is just...what happened. In the pictures, I can see many spots where it needs to be blended more...so forgive me that. Whenever I use the Wolfe Bro's base...I have to remember that stuff doesn't necessarily blend so well on top...and that I should just stick with my NYX jumbo pencils for looks like this. The Wolfe Bro's definitely lasts much longer, but I generally don't do looks like this for any serious occasion. This was to go to my parent's house, do laundry and play cards with my sisters. I'm sure they don't care if I crease up a bit.

Anyhow, as I had a giant honking pimple on my lip, I did my entire face. I will list everything I used...most of it hasn't changed, but on the off chance it has...here you go!

Revlon Colorstay - 220 Natural Beige
Cody Powder - Translucent
Mehron Setting Powder - Translucent/white
e.l.f. Studio Blush - Tickled Pink
Two Faced Shadow Insurance
Wolfe Bro's Water Activated Color - white
Sugarpill shadow - Tako (inner corner and brow highlight)
Inglot shadow - 379M & 388M (middle of lid and crease "wing")
NYX shadow - Marine Blue (outer third and outer crease)
Jordana pen liner - black
Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara - Extreme Black
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara - Black
Nom Nom Balm - Sour Strawberry, the superior flavor.

Here's a full face shot, so you can see the rest:

Let me know what you think! As always, if you want to see something special, leave it in the comments below! I would love to take on your requests!

The End!
